Detailed Info

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical survival-horror game featuring 4 survivors pitted against a single killer in a 4v1 scenario.

The game comes with some free DLC characters for all, but there are also several licensed characters from different horror movie franchises which must be purchased separately. Each character has 3 unique perks which can be shared to other characters through progression of said character, or by spending in-game points (not available for purchase) to unlock these perks directly from a weekly random rotation of 4 different perks. In this way, the perks themselves can be unlocked without paying extra (though of course you can get them instantly by paying for the characters that have them).

Most of these characters available through $7 "Chapter" DLC packs which also include new playable survivors and new maps, though one of them (Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) is just the character itself with no other content for $4.

There are also some minor cosmetic packs for survivors and killers ($3 each), as well as a soundtrack ($10) and deluxe edition. The deluxe edition includes a the game, soundtrack, a digital art book and two masks for another video game, PayDay 2.

On 12th June 2018, Dead by Daylight added a premium currency named "Auric Cells". They cost $5-$50 per purchase, with more expensive purchases containing more Auric Cells per USD. They can be used to buy characters and cosmetics.
